From Asana to Bhavana

break through to deeper understanding

Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025  4:00-6:15 PM  (Online or in Knowlton)

Bhavana refers to a number of things, including the yogic practice of profound creative contemplation.

In this session we will combine the wonderful, settling, restful effects of restorative asanas with the intention to pierce through surface levels of understanding and access deeper levels of our minds.

I will be guiding you through a relatively simple process:

Using a teaching/short text from the Trika/Kashmiri Saivite tradition you will gradually absorb it into your system in order to more clearly hear/see/feel what it is telling you.

Not only should you leave class relaxed and restored, but also in possession of surprising new insights.

Register no later than Wednesday, Nov. 12.  You will receive a short reading to look over a few days before the session.

If you are participating online, you will need to have your own props on hand:
Minimum 2 blankets (4 is better)
2 blocks
Yoga strap
Folding chair
A bolster if you have one

Details:
– Saturday, Nov. 15, 4:00 – 6:15 PM
